Golfer Holly Victoria Incar Appears In LPGA Tournament

JAKARTA - Indonesia's mainstay golfer, Holly Victoria Halim, wants to realize her dream of appearing in the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) golf tournament after finishing at the top 10 at the Indonesia Women's Open (IWO) 2025.

Indonesia Women's Open 2025 completed a series of tournaments for three days on Sunday, January 26, 2025. Holly ended in T6 after completing the third round with a total of 6-under-par (210).

"In the future, I want to play in LPGA. I hope with my abilities and improvements. I can achieve my goals in LPGA later," he said in a press conference after the match.

The former national amateur athlete started the third round with 6-bottom-par. He had lost two punches so the score dropped to 4-under-par before returning to 6-bottom-par again.

Holly admitted that she was happy to have played optimally in the last round of the tournament and managed to produce beer-birdies in the last two holes even in the third hole she got engaged.

"I'm quite happy with the two beers. All day my approach is not good. There are several holes, two three holes, I chose the wrong stick, chose the wrong club, the ball was too late, the ball was lacking," he said.

IWO 2025 was won by South Korean golfer Hwang Yoona. The 22-year-old golfer defeated his compatriot, Cho Jeongmin, who had led the leaderboard for two days, in the playoffs.

Yoona and Jeongmin had to continue their game in the additional playoffs after both recorded a total score of 206 (10-bottom-par).

"I am grateful to be able to win at the Indonesia Women's Open which is the 2025 Dream Tour KLPGA. Even though I was depressed because I played in the playoffs, I was able to overcome it," said Yoona.

This result gives Yoona the right to a total of 300 thousand US dollars. This is the first title for a 22 year old golfer after four years of professionalism.

IWO is the opening tournament of the Asia Pacific Circuit (APAC Circuit) Series Tour 2025. APAC Circuit is a series of golf tournaments to develop women's golf in the Asia-Pacific region replacing Women's Asia Circuit and Ladies Asia Golf Tour (LAGT).

The purpose of the APAC Circuit is to build and promote events supported by AGLF member associations and contribute to improving player performance and providing opportunities for players in the Asia Pacific region.

AGLF in collaboration with KLPGA held a series of events in 2025 in the APAC Circuit Series Tour. The APAC Circuit calendar, which will be attended by elite golfers from the KLPGA Dream Tour, has an agenda for two tournaments outside South Korea, one of which is in Indonesia.
