Long Holiday, Fast Train Passengers Up To 29 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) noted, the number of passengers on the luxury train increased by 29 percent per day during the long holiday period of Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year 2025.

On January 24-26, 2025, the number of PASS passengers reached 66,000 people or an average of 22,000 passengers per day, an increase of 29 percent compared to normal days of 17,000 passengers per day.

General Manager of KCIC Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa said, even though it has entered its fourth day of long holidays, this figure shows the enthusiasm of the public to useASH remains high.

"The increase in the number of passengers by up to 29 percent shows the high public confidence inASH as a mode of fast and reliable transportation," Eva said in a written statement, Monday, January 27.

Until now, the peak of the trip occurred on last Sunday, January 26, which was 22,800 passengers.

Most passengers ride from Halim Station, reaching 80 percent of the total passengers.

Then, the rest are passengers with the aim of Halim 'Tegalluar Summarecon and Halim' Karawang.

As for today's departure, Monday, January 27, tickets that have been sold until the morning have reached 19,000 tickets.

It is predicted that the volume of passengers will still reach more than 21,000. This is because bookings for ticket sales are still open until the last trip is next night.

Currently, ticket sales for departures on January 24-29 have reached 105,000 tickets.
