Jasa Marga Speeds Up Completion Of The Trans Java Toll Road Final Section Project, Here's The Progress

JAKARTA - The Trans Java Toll Road (JTTJ) is still not fully connected. To connect it from Merak to Banyuwangi, Jasa Marga is currently accelerating the completion of the construction of the 176.40 kilometer (km) Probolinggo 'Banyuwangi Toll Road.

Quoted from the official website of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works (PU), Monday, January 27, the Probolinggo 'Banyuwangi Toll Road has a total length of 176.4 km. In the era of the 7th Presidential Government of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi), this toll road is included in the list of National Strategic Projects (PSN).

This toll work is divided into 2 stages of construction, with an investment value of around Rp. 23.39 trillion. In detail, stage 1 is the 'Besuki' Gending section with a length of 49.68 km and stage 2 is Besuki' Banyuwangi along 126.72 km. Currently, the construction process is only running in stage 1 construction.

Phase 1 construction itself is divided into several sections. Based on data as of January 2025, the work of Section 1 Gending (12.88 km) recorded 100 percent land acquisition progress and 83 percent construction. It is targeted that this section will complete construction in the first quarter of 2025.

Then, there is Section 2 Kraksaan 'Paiton' (11.20 km) with 97.4 percent land acquisition progress and 69.6 percent construction. It is targeted that this section can complete construction in the second quarter of 2025.

Next, there is Section 3 Paiton Besuki (25.6 km) which is divided into two work packages. First, the Paiton 'Boneuglugur' work package (9.40 km) with 100 percent land acquisition progress and 56.1 percent construction.

Then, there is the Banyuglugur 'Besuki' work package (16.20 km) with 98.9 percent land acquisition progress and 56.1 percent construction. It is targeted that Section 3 as a whole will be completed in the third quarter of 2025.

Meanwhile, the construction of phase 2 of the Besuki Banyuwangi section along 126.72 km has not yet entered the construction stage or land acquisition. It is targeted that the construction will only be completed after 2025.

The Besuki 'Banyuwangi' section consists of several sections, including Section 4 Besuki' Situbondo (43.30 km), Section 5 Situbondo 'Asembagus (16.76 km), Section 6 Asembagus 'Bajulmati (37.45 km) and Section 7 Bajulmati' Banyuwangi/Ketapang (29.21 km).
