Chris Hemsworth And Russo Brothers Latest Collaboration On Extraction
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 pandemic or the corona virus does not completely disrupt Netflix in serving new content. Yesterday, Tuesday, April 7, Netflix just released a trailer for the film Extraction, starring Chris Hemsworth.
This film was written by the Russo Brothers (Anthony and Joe) who previously worked with Hemsworth in four Marvel films, namely Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Action genre, Extraction tells the story of a black market soldier Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) who embarks on a mission to save the king's kidnapped son. This kidnapping is a fight against the drug lords of India and Bangladesh. In fact, Rake has to deal with the world of international-class drug and arms trafficking that is risking his life in the middle of India which is currently under lockdown.
Through its inaugural trailer, Extraction chose to show the intensity of the shooting action tucked in a little melancholy. There are also flashbacks of Tyler Rake's life story, although only briefly. In this 3-minute video, Hemsworth is also accompanied by David Harbor, Pankaj Tripathi, Randeep Hooda, and Derek Luke.
The film will be Sam Hargrave's directorial debut. Previously he played in the Deadpool 2 films, Atomic Blonde, and Avengers: Endgame where he played a New Asgard truck driver. Yes, Extraction is a reunion for the Avengers film team.
It didn't take long for fans to watch Extraction, because this film will air exclusively on Netflix April 24.
Apart from Extraction, Hemsworth still has a project with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) through the animated series What If… and Thor: Love and Thunder, which has yet to continue shooting due to the corona pandemic. Meanwhile, the Russo Brothers are preparing for the Cherry film, starring Tom Holland and a crime series.
