Income Cut From IDR 30 Million To IDR 2.5 Million, Specialists At Mukomuko Hospital Strike Work
JAKARTA - Dozens of specialist doctors at the Mukomuko District Hospital, Bengkulu Province, staged a strike because it was suspected that the additional employee income fund for specialist doctors had dropped drastically from IDR 30 million to IDR 2.5 to IDR 4 million per month.
Director of Mukomuko Hospital Syafriadi confirmed a strike by dozens of specialist doctors.
Nevertheless, he said, emergency services, emergency room, patient services, for example, the need for cesarean delivery, specialists still provide services.
He revealed that special specialist poly was closed. Then, he admitted that there was one patient from Air Rami Subdistrict, who could not help but through the emergency room because he had a hernia.
"After being reported to the surgeon this afternoon, the operation was straightforward", said Syafriadi as quoted by Antara, Monday, April 19.
Meanwhile, patients with symptoms of leg pain and all kinds of things are transferred to the emergency room and general practitioner policy.
The residents of Selagan Raya Subdistrict who wanted to seek treatment at the local hospital were disappointed by the incident of the specialist doctors on strike because they could not get health services.
"We wanted to get treatment far away, but when we arrived at the poly hospital, it was closed. As a community, we want to ask about the clarity, because this is a regional facility, so we have the right to ask for clarity", he said.
Also, he said, his party was disappointed with the Hospital management which did not provide prior notification of the specialist doctor who was on strike.
"We want to seek treatment but all the poly is closed, now where do we want to go for treatment, even though we have come a long way but cannot seek treatment and get health services", he said.
