100 Days Of Prabowo-Gibran Performance, Police Asked To Fix The Public Service Sector
JAKARTA Director of Imparsial Ardi Manto Adiputra asked the National Police to fix the public or public service sector as an evaluation ahead of 100 days of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration.
Because, in the late last year period, there were various cases involving criminal acts and violence involving members of the police. For example, the shooting of the car rental boss at KM 45 South Tangerang was carried out by unscrupulous members of the Indonesian Navy, at which time the Cinangka Police Chief was said to have rejected public reports.
"Untungnya, Polri bisa bertindak cepat dengan menggeluskan Kapolsek Cinangka. Tindakan tegas dari institusi Polri terhadap Kapolsek Cinangka ini sudah tepat dan tentunya dapat menjadi pelajaran bagi anggota kepolisian yang lain di berbagai daerah terkait bagaimana mereka seharus pengauan dari masyarakat," tutur Ardi dalam keterangannya, Minggu 26 Januari 2025.

"Therefore, which is a record in the 100 days of Prabowo's administration, the National Police needs to improve its performance related to community services, so that there are no more public reports that are ignored," he continued.
In addition, to overcome various internal problems, the National Police can evaluate the internal system, namely the police chief's regulation (perkap) or technical instructions (juknis) on the implementation of police duties, whether it is appropriate and friendly to human rights issues.
According to Ardi, several Perkap needs to be reviewed, especially those related to the duties of the police, especially in public services. In addition, it is necessary to supervise the implementation of the Perkap so that it runs properly.
He hopes that with a review of the recap and technical guidelines, the police institution can be more professional in carrying out its duties, both in service and law enforcement in accordance with human rights principles.
"The most important thing is that the Police leave the militaristic culture of the New Order era because the Police have actually been separated from the TNI since the 1998 Reformation Era, for that various Polri approaches must be humane and accountable. We also hope that the Police will be more open and accountable in the formulation of Polri's strategic policies by involving academics and civil society groups," he explained.
On the other hand, Ardi also appreciated the National Police even though in 100 days President Prabowo's administration had faced various problems, especially related to violations committed by its members. The reason is, from Imparsial records based on monitoring media coverage, in the last 100 days there have been 414 members of the National Police who have received sanctions for dishonorable dismissal (PTDH) throughout Indonesia.
This note does not include individuals who get demonstrations, mutations, or delays in promotions at a certain time. "The most important thing is actually how the surveillance system in the Police can prevent members from these violations. Because after all, if there has been a violation, the image of the Police will be at stake," he said.
