Against Persib In The Menpora Cup Semi-finals, PSS Is Still Without The Injured Irfan Bachdim-Gufron

JAKARTA - PSS Sleman will face Persib Bandung in the second leg of the Menpora Cup semi-final at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Monday night. PSS coach Dejan Antonic said two of his players, namely Irfan Bachdim and Asyraq Gufron, could not be played in this match because they were still recovering from injury.

"From the first game Irfan and Gufron could not play because they were still injured, and from some players we have to wait for the conditions and see tomorrow (today, red)," Dejan said in a press conference on Sunday, quoted by Antara.

According to him, the team also needed to communicate with doctors to confirm the condition of the players and there was a meeting on Monday morning to decide.

"But surely we choose players who are 100 percent ready for the match and players who can be the maximum for tomorrow," he added.

Actually, said the coach from Serbia, in terms of the condition of the players there were not too many changes from the first leg.

"Because there is not much time to prepare, only 48 hours and not enough because we have to see all the players' conditions plus the troubling conditions yesterday," he said.

In addition, Dejan admitted that the defeat of PSS Sleman against Persib in the first leg match was the team's fault so it should be a lesson that should not be repeated.

"The first game may be our own fault, but we can learn from that game and we can focus more on tomorrow's game (today, red)" concluded Dejan.

Meanwhile, PSS player Derry Rachman Noor admitted that his team had made more thorough preparations by learning from the first leg matches.

"Learn from previous matches so that you don't miss again, focus more and increase your strength," he said.

In the first leg of the Menpora Cup semifinal, Persib Bandung won 2-1 over PSS Sleman in a match at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Friday night.
