This Is Puan Maharani's Message In The Briefing Of Regional Heads And Legislators From PDIP

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDI-P DPP (PDIP) and Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, provide briefing to regional heads and legislators from PDIP to always run people's programs.

"Regional heads or representatives, as well as DPRD leaders and members from the PDI-P must create programs that help the people and empower the people," said Puan in a statement received in Jakarta, Saturday.

He conveyed this when providing briefing in technical guidance (Bimtek) for all members of the provincial, district, and city levels of the PDIP DPRD throughout Indonesia which was held at the JIExpo Kemayoran Grand Ballroom Theater, Central Jakarta, Saturday.

He also reminded that the authority of council members must be used to make policies, programs, and activities that can help people's lives so that they become better.

"All members of the PDI-P faction DPRD must build cooperation with all parties to produce the best policies and programs for the people," he said.

He also emphasized other priorities for the future PDIP, namely the three pillars of the party (structure, executive, and legislative) to maintain party solidity.

"Solid means that we carry out the task of the party's struggle in a guided, directed manner, in one range of ranks. We must have the same goal, namely parties that work for the welfare of the people," he said.

He said the next priority for PDIP is to raise the younger generation so that PDIP will continue to exist in the future, considering that currently Indonesia is demographically dominated by the younger generation.

"Regional heads or representatives as well as leaders and members of the DPRD must be able to build communication and participation of the younger generation, mobilizing the younger generation as the new generation of the PDI-P. Young people want to see a peaceful party, want to see a fun party," he said.

Furthermore, Puan reminded that PDIP's energy should be used for party consolidation work and consolidation of party programs.

"Show the people that the PDI-P is the people's party. When the election is over, the PDI-P remains with the people," he explained.

Puan also mentioned PDIP's victory in the 2024 Legislative Election, which was the third successive victory in the election.

On the other hand, he reminded that the defeat of PDIP in the 2024 presidential election should not be an obstacle to the struggle for PDIP.

Our heads must remain upright as political parties that win the legislative elections. Now we have to move on, we have to move forward. In 2025 we have to interpret it as the year of stepping stone for 2029," he said.

The technical guidance, which was held for two days, was attended by 3,214 PDIP cadres, as well as various participants from internal parties and public figures, to government officials. PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri also gave a direct briefing on Friday (24/1).
