PINTU Application Celebrates International Education Day
JAKARTA - Education is an important foundation for the progress of a nation or country. With equitable access to education, it is hoped that it can encourage increased education.
In order to encourage the improvement of education to continue to grow well, PT Pintu Kemana Saja (PINTU) of the crypto all-in-one application held a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program entitled #PontangkeMasadamanpan right on the celebration of International Education Day which is celebrated every January 24. This program was held at Nurul Iman Mentas Orphanage, South Jakarta.
"As a native Indonesian company, taking an active role in increasing access to education in general is an important part of our journey. Through this CSR program, we provide various educational support tools ranging from books, stationery, to educational activities of various exciting and interesting activities to increase reading and learning interests for the younger generation of Indonesia," said Senior Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding of PINTU, Nadine, in a written statement, Friday, January 24.
According to data from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the literacy level of Indonesians is still classified as low, namely reading interests reaching only 0.001 percent or out of 1000 Indonesians, there is only one person who has an interest in reading.
"This challenge is a shared responsibility to advance the younger generation of Indonesia so that they can have easy access to education and are expected to have human resources (HR) with high competitiveness. This can certainly make a big contribution to the progress of the country," said Nadine.
As for access to education in Indonesia, based on Basic Education Data (DAPODIK) in 2024, three areas, namely access to education, quality of education, and a steady increase in the learning environment in Indonesia, in terms of participation. It is recorded that 53.32 million Indonesian children have received education services in around 448,367 educational units.
This CSR program is a good first step and is a long-term commitment and initiative to prepare the younger generation to face a brighter future. In the future, we will continue to expand our education program in order to accelerate the education of the Indonesian people," concluded Nadine.
