Rows Of Space Wahana To Be Launched By NASA's JPL This Year
JAKARTA The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), one of NASA's facility centers, will launch many missions this year. The mission objectives are quite diverse, ranging from observations of the universe to the sea.
According to NASA's explanation on its official website, most of the missions that will be launched this year have been prepared for years. NASA has recorded on what missions JPL will launch. The following is a list of agendas that the agency will launch.
Launch of the SPHEREx Observatory
This spacecraft is planned to launch no earlier than February 27. With its shape like a trumpet bell, this vehicle is designed to create four 3D maps of the universe to increase human understanding.
The hope is that this device, which stands for the Spectro-Photometer for the History of the Universe, can help scientists understand evolution after big bangs, life ingredients in ice grains, and others.
Launch of the Lunar Trailblazer Forum
The next mission JPL targets to launch this year is a Lunar Trailblazer vehicle flight to find ice on the Moon's surface. The Trailblazer Lunar is a small satellite to help map lunar water with a very detailed method.
This satellite can determine the abundance of ice, the location of ice, its shape and how the changes occur from time to time. This spacecraft will be released at the end of February through the Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program.
Sea Surface Observations
JPL will launch a satellite designed to provide high measurements of the global sea level. The spacecraft is named Sentinel-6B and is scheduled to launch in November.
This satellite will replace Sentinel-6 satellite Michael Freilich, which was flown in 2020. The purpose of launching this satellite will remain the same, namely tracking climates and storms to better understand phenomena such as El Maritime Affairs.
