Sentul City Sells Aeon Mall For Rp1.9 Trillion, Rp900 Billion To Pay Debts To BNI

JAKARTA - PT Sentul City Tbk (BKSL) and Aeon Japan through PT Aeon Mall Indonesia have completed the acquisition or sale of Aeon Mall Sentul City, Bogor. The sales process for Aeon Mall Sentul City worth Rp1.9 trillion was signed by the President Director of PT Sentul City Tbk Tjetje Muljanto, Director of PT Sentul City Tbk Iwan Budiharsana and President Director of PT Aeon Mall Indonesia Daisuke Isobe, last Thursday, April 15 at the Marketing Gallery Sentul City, Jalan MH Thamrin, Kav 8, Sentul City, Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency.

"We are grateful that the acquisition process can run smoothly," said the President Commissioner of PT Sentul City Tbk, Basaria Panjaitan in a written statement, Monday, April 19.

According to Basaria, this acquisition process occurred because Aeon Japan as a foreign investor through PT Aeon Mall Indonesia saw very good business prospects in the Sentul City residential area. The proceeds from this acquisition will be used to pay off a loan to PT Bank BNI Tbk amounting to Rp900 billion.

The proceeds from this acquisition are also said to be able to make a significant contribution to the company's financial performance in the second quarter of 2021.

"And of course it really helps our cash flow," he said.

According to Basaria Panjaitan, Sentul City is committed to continuing to develop the residential area in Sentul City as a modern Mandiri City. This is in line with the development of the Bogor Regency Spatial and Regional Planning (RTRW) which designated the Sentul City residential area as the Central Business District (CBD).

CBD development is the main priority of BKSL at this time. After IKEA and AEON Mall, BKSL is planning a collaboration with foreign investors to build the largest Factory Outlet in Southeast Asia in Sentul City.

"We want the acceleration so that large-scale business activities in the residential area of Sentul have an economic impact on stakeholders," he explained.

In addition, according to Basaria, Sentul City is also determined to make Sentul City's residential area a haven for investors. Therefore, BKSL is also continuously preparing the infrastructure that is badly needed by national and global investors.
