Regarding The Kick-off Date For Free Health Checks, Coordinating Minister For Human Development And Culture: As Soon As Possible

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Pratikno said that the kick-off of the Free Health Check (PKG) program was carried out as soon as possible, and his party coordinated to ensure the smooth running of the program.

"We discuss, guarantee, try hard so that the implementation of this free health check can run smoothly and successfully," said Pratikno in Jakarta, Thursday, January 23, quoted by Antara.

His party held coordination meetings with a number of related ministries and institutions, including the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Religion. He said that his party discussed matters that needed to be decided at ministerial meetings, such as budgets, infrastructure, and data collection.

He also said, based on the survey, the community welcomed the program, so that his party made maximum efforts in preparing this program and invited various parties to make it a success, as well as the TNI and Polri who have experience in the success of the COVID-19 vaccination.

Pratikno added that there were no changes to the program, but PKG socialization needed to be made more massive.

Free Health Checks are one of three Best Results Programs Fast (PHTC) or quick win, and two others in the form of construction of hospitals in remote areas of the archipelagic border (DTPK) and elimination of tuberculosis.

Previously, as proof of readiness to implement one of the acceleration programs (quick win), the Ministry of Health issued a Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.01.07/MENKES/33/2025 concerning Technical Guidelines for Free Health Examination on Birthdays.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Widyawati, in a statement on Wednesday, January 22, explained that the PKG program, which is planned to start in February 2025, is a birthday gift from the state for its people with the aim of detecting health problems early on, preventing disease, and improving the quality of life of the community.

Broadly speaking, he said, this technical instruction regulates various important aspects of the implementation of the PKG Birthday, including the participant's targets, time and place of implementation, to the type of inspection according to the target group.
