KALBAR - Dozens of houses in the city of Singkawang, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan) were again flooded on Thursday, January 23.
The flood submerged the houses of residents on Jalan Pramuka, Sekip Lama Village, Jalan Suhada and Lembah Murai, Condong Village, Jalan Mahad Usman, Semelagi Kecil Village, and Jalan Ratu Sepudak, Setapuk Besar Village, North Singkawang District.
"The results of temporary monitoring are about 20 houses, especially in RT 08 which were flooded in North Singkawang District," said Head of Setapuk Besar Village, North Singkawang District, Lilis Kasianti in North Singkawang, West Kalimantan, Thursday, January 23, as reported by Antara.
The flood that hit people's houses in Singkawang was caused by heavy rains that flushed Singkawang City in the past two days.
"The height of flooding in residents' houses is around 20 to 50 centimeters," he said.
However, no one has fled. "They are still surviving and hope that the flood will recede soon," he said.
He has appealed to all RTs in the Setapuk Besar area, if there are residents who want to be evacuated, please enter the data first. So that solutions can be found.
"I am also still coordinating with the school to provide evacuation sites for flood victims," he said.

Unfortunately, he said, today, Thursday, January 21, there are actually residents who want to hold a wedding at home. However, due to the flood, the event had to be moved to a prayer room.
In addition to the evacuation plan, he also appealed to parents to always monitor their children who are playing with water. Given the current water level of the river has been flattened with the road.
