Deputy Minister Of Home Affairs Bima Arya Reveals Planned Retret Of Regional Heads To Be Inaugurated
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Bima Arya revealed that the government plans to hold a retreat or briefing for the regional heads to be inaugurated. This retreat is planned to be held in Magelang and is designed with a more in-depth curriculum compared to the retreats held for previous ministers.
The curriculum is being formulated with Lemhannas. The substance will be more detailed, especially related to programs such as food security and nutritious eating policies. The duration of the retreat is likely to be more than 7 days, and the briefing will be carried out in stages for each wave of inauguration," said Bima Arya at the State Palace, Wednesday, January 22.
Regarding the possibility of using reserve component uniforms (komcad) during the retreat, Bima said this was still in the technical discussion stage.
"We are currently formulating this with Lemhannas. What is important is the substance of the retreat, while technical details like that are still being discussed," he said.
Bima Arya also informed that the inauguration of regional heads who were not involved in disputes at the Constitutional Court (MK) is scheduled to take place on February 6, 2025 at the State Palace, Jakarta.
"Earlier, the Minister of Home Affairs had reported it to the President and he responded well. The first batch of inauguration will take place on February 6, including for governors, regents and mayors who do not face lawsuits in the Constitutional Court," added Bima Arya.
The inauguration of regional heads will be carried out in three waves. The first wave for regions that do not face disputes in the Constitutional Court, the second wave for regions with rejected or dismissal lawsuits, and the third wave for regions that must re-vote based on the Constitutional Court's decision.
The first wave has been scheduled, while the second and third waves will be adjusted to the completion of the trial at the Constitutional Court. For the first batch, around 270 regional heads will be sworn in, including the governor of Jakarta," concluded Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya.
