Allegations Of Maladministration, Ombudsman Investigating The Issuance Of HGB Pagar Laut In Tangerang
The Ombudsman assesses the potential for maladministration related to the issue of the sea fence, which can develop into allegations of corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN). This issue is currently being investigated by the Ombudsman.
"We have mandated representatives of the Banten Ombudsman to carry out an investigation," said Ombudsman Chairman Mokhammad Najih, Wednesday, January 22.
According to the search results, issues related to sea fences continue to grow, especially regarding the issuance of building rights certificates (HGB) and title certificates (SHM) in the Tangerang waters, Banten.
"It turns out that the process is developing because we can't open the results yet. Moreover, new problems arise, namely HGB or property rights issued by ATR/BPN in the sea fence area," said Najih.
The Banten Ombudsman has been assigned to investigate parties related to this issue, ranging from the local fisheries office to the relevant ministries. Najih noted the potential for maladministration in the issuance of the certificate.
"The issuance of HGB or SHM certificates at sea has the potential to indicate maladministration. This is what we are currently investigating," said Najih.
The main focus of the Ombudsman is currently in the aspect of public services related to the process of issuing the certificate. Najih said that his party was investigating whether there was maladministration behind the process. He emphasized that the issuance of this certificate is part of public services.
Najih also reminded that if maladministration is found, it is possible that this case could develop into allegations by the KKN. However, if the issue spreads to the realm of law, the Ombudsman will no longer have the authority.
"The HGB issuance process is part of public services. If there is maladministration, we will investigate it. If found, it can develop into allegations of KKN," concluded Najih regarding the issuance of HGB fences.
