Cap Go Meh Bogor Festival 2025: Cultural Parade 2.1 Kilometers Celebrate New Beginning

A total of 77 art groups from within and outside the city of Bogor will participate, with 41 groups coming from Bogor and 34 others from nine provinces outside West Java.

This parade involves about 5,000 performers and committees, as well as 1,000 security personnel, making it one of the largest cultural arts festivals in Indonesia. The person in charge of CGM BSF, Harlan Bengardi, said that this year's festival was designed with a more modern and interactive approach. One of the innovations is the installation of Tron TV screens at four strategic points along the parade path.

"What's different this year, the design of the event is made more contemporary with the concept of going up high. The Tron TV screen will make it easier for people to enjoy cultural parades from various angles," said Harlan.

The Chief Executive of CGM BSF 2025, Arifin Himawan, revealed that this festival will present Joli Ma Zu, Dewi Lautan from Taiwan, as one of the main attractions. Ma Zu is known in Chinese culture as the goddess of protector of sailors and a symbol of safety.

In addition, eight war gods with unique attractions 'no voice' will also appear. They are believed to be able to expel negative energy.

"This movement without sound has a deep meaning. They are believed to be able to expel negative things in the community," said Arifin.

The Cap Go Meh Bogor Street Festival 2025 is ready to be a cultural celebration that inspires the spirit of togetherness and appreciation for the diversity of Indonesian art.
