Viral Police Killed, 1 TNI Wounded In Maltreatment Case In Melawai, Investigators Examine 6 Witnesses

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya examined six witnesses in a case of persecution in which one policeman was killed and one TNI member injured.

Director of General Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat said that the witnesses being questioned were the ones who knew about the incident.

"It's been around 5 to 6. Yes, those who are considered to know what happened," Tubagus told reporters, Monday, April 19.

However, Tubagus was reluctant to reveal the identity of the witnesses. The reason is that the persecution case that occurred in a cafe in the Melawai area, South Jakarta is still under investigation.

"In essence, we will examine 6 witnesses. That's all that (information) can be given," he said.

This enrichment action went viral on social media. This persecution took place on Sunday, April 18th. Based on CCTV camera footage in circulation, the perpetrator is estimated to be six people.

It's just that, regarding this matter and the chronology of service, Tubagus is reluctant to explain. He only emphasized that this case would be thoroughly investigated.

"It's still being explored," he said briefly.
