Indonesia Masters 2025: Mixed Doubles Fall

JAKARTA Most of Indonesia's mixed doubles had to go home early in the first round of the Indonesia Masters 2025 after Dejan Ferdinansyah/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti were also eliminated.

The pair failed to add tickets for the hosts after losing two games 16-21 and 15-21 against Malaysia's Goh Soon Huat/Lai Shevon Jamie, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

"Earlier we [I and Fadia] chatted and we were wrong in the pattern of play so they became delicious

"They have also recently had good achievements. Then they also played for a long time so the rotation was right. That's what we lost. Sometimes there are some that we are still confused about what to play," said Dejan.

This is Dejan/Fadia's second tournament after they were reunited since last December. They previously played at the India Open last week.

While there, they managed to get through the first half, but then lost in the second half against the second seeded pair from China, Jian Zheng Bang/Wei Ya Xin.

Dejan mengatakan sebagai pasangan baru, dia dan Fadia jelas masih membutuhkan adaptasi. Terlebih dia orang baru di Pelatnas PBSI.

"We want to do our best. If it's a burden, all players also have a burden because of the responsibility of Java. However, as athletes we try to give our best," said Dejan.

Mixed doubles is one of the two sectors with the most representatives at the Indonesia Masters 2025 with the men's doubles. This number totals seven representatives in the main round and two from the qualifiers.

However, only three broke into the second half. They are Rinov Rivaldy/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati, Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu, and Marwan Faza/Aisyah Salsabila Putri Pranata.
