Indonesia Masters 2025: Rinov/Lisa Silence Third Seeds

JAKARTA - Mixed doubles pair Rinov Rivaldy/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati beat the third seed to reach the second round of the Indonesia Masters 2025.

They were forced to fight three games 21-23, 21-17, and 21-17 when they faced the Chinese Taipei pair, Yang Po Hsuan/Hu Ling Fang, at the Istora Stadium, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

"Yes, Alhamdulillah, finish the match unharmed and win," said Rinov after the match.

Rinov/Lisa are Indonesia's second mixed doubles to qualify for the round of 16. They followed in the footsteps of Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu.

In the second round, Rinov/Lisa will meet the British pair, Gregory Mairs/Jenny Mairs. This is their first competitive clash.

The Indonesia Masters is Rinov/Lisa's second tournament since it was overhauled. They previously debuted at the India Open last week. At that time, their journey ran aground in the first half.

Rinov/Lisa are Indonesia's fourth representatives and at the same time the second mixed doubles who got tickets to the second round today.

Mixed doubles before those who had already passed were Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu.
