Databricks Expands Its Presence In ASEAN, Announces Expansion Plans To Indonesia

JAKARTA - Databricks, a data and AI company, announced its plans to expand investment in the ASEAN region, by building Databricks Data Intelligence Platform in the AWS Asia Pacific region, Jakarta, in early 2025.

With this expansion, Databricks aims to support more companies in Indonesia to be able to optimally maximize the potential of data and AI to increase the competitiveness of the digital economy.

Databricks Intelligence Platform provides analytical services and smart apps that integrate client data with advanced AI models that can be accessed on the AWS Marketplace.

By building Databricks Data Intelligence Platform exclusively on AWS in Indonesia,mendatambahkan, AWS berkomitmen untuk membantu Databricks dan seluruh pelanggan dalam mengelolakan data bisnis secara aman, lokal, serta mendorong inovasi digital dan AI yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri.

Recently, Databricks expanded its partnership with AWS. With this partnership, companies in Indonesia can now access a variety of new features, including the Mosaic AI Databricks to develop a special AI model that is tailored to their respective business needs.

This feature is also supported by the AWS Trainium chip so that the AI model development process can take place faster.

In addition, clients can carry out pre-training, refinement, and implementing large language models (LLM) using their own data at a more efficient cost.

This feature has been integrated with the AWS Marketplace so that clients can apply the Databricks solution easily and run a generative AI program on a large scale.
