Ombudsman Is Handling One Sea Pagar Report
JAKARTA - Ombudsman member Hery Susanto revealed that his party was handling a report related to sea fencing.
Hery explained that the report had been published by the Examination Result Report (LHP) regarding the issue of title certificates (SHM) in the waters.
"However, because this is not the result of a study or investigation, this is a private case, so we have not been able to publish it. It is not half-hearted to be involved in this case. Later there will be a next topic," said Hery as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 21.
The case handled by the institution shows that the territorial waters have become the object of a regional struggle.
"In the past, the fence ate plants, entered the forest, to the extent that conflicts with animals, tigers, elephants, wild boars, and others. Now conflict with fishermen, including fish and crabs," he said.
He said that currently Indonesian waters are increasingly threatened by sea fencing.
