The Management Of OMNI Hospital Lost IDR 449 Billion In 2020, Even Though The Income Was IDR 507 Billion
JAKARTA - The hospital management company, PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk posted an unsatisfactory performance in 2020. The OMNI Hospital Manager recorded a decline in both revenue and net profit.
Quoted from PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk's financial report, Monday, April 19, posted a decrease in net income of up to 4.10 percent year on year (YoY) to IDR507.62 billion in 2020. In the previous year, revenue was recorded at IDR529.32 billion.
If detailed, the contribution of medical support dominates 50.27 percent of the income or equivalent to IDR255.2 billion. Despite dominating revenue, the contribution from medical support decreased 1.73 percent YoY from the previous IDR259.68 billion.
While viewed geographically, OMNI Hospital Pulomas still contributed the most significantly to revenues of up to IDR146.99 billion. This number decreased by 11.31 percent compared to the previous year which reached IDR165.73 billion.
OMNI Hospital Alam Sutera also felt a decline in income by 18.42 percent YoY to IDR199.3 billion. Meanwhile, OMNI Hospital Cikarang and OMNI Hospital Pekayon actually increased by 22.15 percent YoY and 50.32 percent YoY, respectively.
Meanwhile, OMNI Cikarang generated revenue of IDR 78.03 billion. Then, OMNI Hospital Pekayon contributed IDR 83.29 billion.
Even though its income decreased, PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk was still able to score a gross profit of up to IDR232.04 billion or an increase of 9.21 percent YoY. This growth cannot be separated from the cost of revenue which was successfully reduced by 13.02 percent YoY to IDR275.58 billion.
However, their operating losses swelled to IDR. 263.01 billion. Even though in 2019, only suffered an operating loss of up to IDR 28.14 billion.
One of the contributors to the operating loss was the swelling of the loss account for impairment of fixed assets to IDR272.42 billion from IDR.33.86 billion. As a result, the increased operating loss eventually deepened the net loss attributable to the owners of the parent entity to IDR 449.46 billion, wherein 2019 PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk was also still in a position of loss of IDR 114.38 billion.
As of the end of December 2020, had total assets of up to IDR 1.89 trillion. That number has dropped 15.25 percent compared to the end of 2019 which reached IDR 2.23 trillion.
Meanwhile, PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk's total liabilities increased by 6.35 percent YoY to IDR1.34 trillion and its total equity decreased by 44.16 percent YoY to IDR.545.82 billion.
