AC Milan Vs Girona Prediction: Rossoneri Targets Fifth Win In The Champions League
JAKARTA - AC Milan will face Girona in the Champions League league phase match on Wednesday 22 January or Thursday morning WIB at the San Siro. Rossoneri who are on a positive trend will try to continue their slick performance by aiming for a fifth straight victory, while Girona, the European debutant this season, hopes to steal points to keep their hopes alive.
After losing in the first two league games, AC Milan managed to bounce back with four consecutive wins over Club Brugge, Real Madrid, Slovan Bratislava, and Red Star Belgrade. In their last match in this competition, Rafael Leao and Tammy Abraham became the heroes of a 2-1 win over Red Star, securing at least a position in the playoffs.
However, in the domestic competition, Milan still struggled to show consistency. The 2-0 defeat to Juventus in Serie A last weekend was a blow to Sergio Conceicao's side, who had only led the team for a few weeks. However, Conceicao previously managed to bring Milan to win the Italiana Supercoppa.
Meanwhile, Girona made a tough Champions League debut. With just one win from six games, their chances of progressing to the next round were very small. They also failed to score in the last three away games in Europe and have just lost 2-1 to Sevilla in La Liga.
