Police Explain 3 Online Gambling Sites Can Survive Due To Change URLs

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Cyber Crime (Dittipidsiber) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police explained that three online or online gambling websites (judols) can survive even though they have been blocked because they have replacedURL (uniform resources locators) or pranalas.

"If we look at this, indeed these website-website (website sites) are old websites, and website-website which have indeed been blocked, but are indeed regenerated, reappeared," said the Director of Cyber Crime at the National Police Brigadier General Himawan Bayu Aji at a press conference at Bareskrim Polri, Jakarta, Monday, January 20.

In addition, he explained that a number of judol pages can still be accessed in Indonesia and internationally because they use websites that are easily accessible.

The three websites referred to by Himawan are H5 GF777, RGO Casino, and Agent 138. The National Police has named 11 people involved in the judol website as suspects.

"So, the name is the same, but he usually changes only hisURL. His address (the address is the site) is different, but the name is the same because he already has a brand,brand, but is blocked, then it appears again with different URLs," explained Brigadier General Himawan.

Brigadier General Himawan said several judol websites had been blocked, but appeared with a new name or did not retain their brand name.

"Indeed, the dynamics are like that. So, we continue to coordinate with the Komdigi (Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs) to continue to update (development) what we can do to be taken down (downed) by Komdigi," he said.
