High Performance Satisfiability Of Prabowo's Performance, Member Of Commission III Of The DPR Hopes The Government Will Be More Intensive In Eradicating Judol
JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the DPR Abdullah appreciated the high public satisfaction with President Prabowo Subianto's performance in 100 working days.
He also hopes that the government will also increase its performance in the field of law, especially in eradicating online gambling (Judol).
The reason is, there are many series of heartbreaking cases due to judol. Like a father who had the heart to kill his wife and children, to commit suicide because he was caught in judol and pinjol. There was also a wife who burned her husband's house because her husband was addicted to judol.
"In fact, many households were destroyed because of online gambling. This phenomenon is very concerning," Abdullah said, Monday, July 20.
Moreover, he continued, children were also exposed to online gambling. According to PPATK data, 25 percent of the perpetrators were under 30 years old (rejured to children). PPATK also noted that throughout 2023-2024, the value of judol transactions reached IDR 360 trillion, and the figure continued to increase.
"For this reason, the government must be more serious in overcoming this problem. All parties must be involved to eradicate judol," he said.
Abdullah also asked the police to be more responsive in receiving reports from residents related to crimes. The police, he said, should not underestimate or reject public reports.
"Don't wait for the problem to go viral, then the police will move. This should not happen again. Law enforcers must continue to improve," he said.

When there are police officers who make mistakes, Abdullah continued, the police are also not allowed to directly defend themselves. Police officials, according to him, must investigate cases committed by members, then take firm action against the members who are guilty.
" DEFENDing the members of the guilty will tarnish the image and worsen the name of the police. This must be an evaluation. Members who are guilty must be dealt with firmly," Abdullah said.
The PKB legislator also assessed that law enforcers, both the police, the prosecutor's office, and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) must also be more aggressive in preventing and eradicating corruption.
Moreover, President Prabowo has high attention in eradicating corruption. Therefore, Abdullah hopes that law enforcers can carry out the president's orders in eradicating corruption.
"Law enforcers must be more fierce with corruptors. In the future, performance in the field of eradicating corruption must increase," he concluded.
