Attend The ASEAN Minister Of Tourism Meeting In 2025, Menpar Conveys This
JAKARTA - The Minister of Tourism (Menpar) of the Republic of Indonesia, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, attended a meeting of the tourism ministers of ASEAN countries in a series of ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2025 activities which took place in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, Sunday (19/1/2025).
During the meeting, Menpar Widiyanti conveyed the Indonesian government's commitment to strengthening tourism cooperation between ASEAN countries, especially in creating quality and sustainable tourism.
"Every ASEAN country has different cultural uniqueness and attractiveness of destinations. We agree that one of the keys to the growth of the tourism sector is strengthening collaboration between countries and various parties," said Menpar Widiyanti.
Menpar Widiyanti added that the results of this meeting of ASEAN countries would be one of the strategic references to encourage the recovery and development of tourism and the economy in Indonesia and in the region. In addition, he emphasized the importance of partnerships with the private sector as part of a joint solution.
"Strengthening collaboration with the private sector is very important. This active partnership ensures that regional programs provide inclusive benefits for all stakeholders, both the government, business actors, and the community," he said.
As part of a series of events, The 28th Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers (28th M-ATM) also involved a cooperation forum with ASEAN dialogue partners, including The 24th Meeting of ASEAN, China, Japan, and Republic of Korea Tourism Ministers; The 12th Meeting of ASEAN-India Tourism Ministers; and The 4th Meeting of ASEAN-Russian Federation Tourism Ministers.
