Employee Demonstrations, Deputy Speaker Of The House Of Representatives Asks Commission X Of The House Of Representatives To Monitor And Evaluate The Minister Of Higher Education

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, asked Commission X of the House of Representatives to monitor and evaluate the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro, in the aftermath of a demonstration at the Ministry of Education.

This demonstration was triggered by the dismissal of a number of employees who were deemed unfair and did not comply with the procedure.

Dasco said the DPR would seek and review the problems that occurred at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

"We will look for it, we will review it later, we will ask for a technical commission related to the ministry as well to carry out monitoring and evaluation," said Dasco, Monday, January 20.

Previously reported, the Minister of Education was busy being discussed on social media, especially platform X (formerly Twitter). The reason is, dozens of people who call themselves employees of the Ministry of Education and Technology, Saintek held a protest in front of the ministry office on Jalan Pintu Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, January 20.

This action is known from a number of posts on X, including one of the uploads by the Head of the P2G Teacher Advocacy Division, Iman Zanatul Haeri on the @zanatul_91 account.

"Mr. President, save us from the angry minister, like to play slapped, and play fire," wrote one of the banners displayed in front of the Kemendikti Saintek office.
