Ready To Compete With Platform X, Bluesky Presents Video Special Feeds

JAKARTA Bluesky's plans to compete with platform X, previously known as Twitter, are increasingly visible after they launch a new feature. Now, Bluesky users can access video-only feeds.

This feed is in the Explore tab. When opening the tab and scrolling up the screen, Bluesky users will see the Trending Videos feed in vertical form. While on a video-only feed, users can scroll the screen to see more content.

"We also have to take part in the Bluesky video action now has a special feed for the video!" Bluesky wrote in its official account. "In a dedicated video feed, you can scroll up to include timelines that only contain video posts."

Although X users can also see vertical videos, the way the features work is a little different. X doesn't have a special feed to access videos. If users want to see more videos on the platform, they have to open videos from one of the accounts.

When users scroll the screen, they will see more recommended videos. This video-specific feed system is indeed very different and Bluesky's features are much better. In fact, the feature almost resembles TikTok.

Bluesky explains that users can embed Trending Videos so that the feed can appear on the home screen. That way, users can access videos easily without the need to visit the Explore tab first.

From the views shared by Bluesky, this feature is still labeled Beta. This means that not all users can access the feature and this Trending Videos feed is still being developed. It is not yet known when the feature will be released in a stable version.
