Synergizing At The ASEAN Tourism Forum 2025 Johor Bahru, Indonesia Again Participates

JAKARTA - The Indonesian government through the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) represented by the Minister of Tourism (Menpar) Widiyanti Putri Wardhana participated in the "ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2025" in Johor Bahru, Malaysia on January 15 to 20, 2024.

Menpar Widiyanti, after attending the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2025 at the Johor International Convention Center, Saturday (18/1/2024), conveyed Indonesia's participation in the 2025 era as an effort to strengthen collaboration with ASEAN member countries.

"Indonesia's participation in the 2025 era is an effort to strengthen collaboration with ASEAN member countries and partner countries to realize quality tourism," said Menpar Widiyanti.

The ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) is a cooperation forum between ASEAN member countries to promote tourism in the ASEAN region. This year, I will take the theme "Unity in Motion: Sharing ASEANs Tourism Tomorrow".

"For Indonesia, this forum is a strategic arena to strengthen roles in the global tourism arena, introduce natural and cultural wealth, and build useful regional cooperation," said Menpar Widiyanti.

Menpar Widiyanti while attending the 2025 ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) started a series of activities by meeting the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, Yu In Chon.

During the meeting, Menpar Widiyanti discussed strengthening the potential for cooperation between the two countries in the tourism sector.

"Starting a series of activities at the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2025 in Malaysia, today, I attended a bilateral meeting with the Republic of Korea represented by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, Yu In-Chon," said Menpar Widiyanti.

Menpar explained that this meeting discussed cooperation within the ASEAN-ROK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) which also included several potential collaborations in the tourism sector of the two countries.

"The initiative of the cooperation that we discussed, including regarding joint tourism promotion efforts, is in the hope of strengthening public interest from the two countries in various destinations and tourist attractions in both countries," Menpar added.
