Apart From TikTok, Applications Developed And Affiliated ByteDance Are Also Blocked In The US

JAKARTA - In addition to TikTok, several other applications developed or affiliated with ByteDance, including CapCut, Lemon8, and Marvel Snap also display messages to US users that their services are not available.

In a post on Threads, Chief Development Officer for Marvel Snap developer Second Dinner Studios, Ben Brode said the ban was highly unexpected.

"Unfortunately, Marvel Snap is temporarily unavailable at US app stores and cannot be played in the US. This is a surprise for us," Brode wrote.

Brode also said that the company is currently trying to bring back their digital card game services to all players in the US. But apparently, the game hasn't been playing in the future.

We have worked hard around the clock to bring back MARVEL SNAP in the US and look forward to returning online within 24 hours. We'll let you know after it's back on track," he added.

However, according to him, players who are in the US can still play Marvel Snap using Virtual Private Network (VPN) software using IP from other countries.

For your information, I heard that VPN software will allow you to continue playing Marvel Snap for a while. As long as you pretend to be from Canada or something like that, "he added.

However, TikTok has confirmed that its service is currently seeking to be restored and will be active again for all its US users.

"According to an agreement with our service provider, TikTok is in the process of restoring service," TikTok said via platform X on Monday, January 20.

In other words, the application began to be presented back at application stores such as the Play Store and App Store.
