Initial Draft Lyrics Mr. Tambourine Man From Bob Dylan Laku Dilelang Rp8.19 Billion

JAKARTA - The screening of Bob Dylan's biopic entitled A Complete Unknown has made the singers who wrote the song called The Bard a hot topic among fans.

The moment made the California-based McDonald's House of Julien, United States auctioned the initial draft of the song 'Mr. Tambourine Man'.

The yellow draft consists of two sheets, previously owned by the son of Al Aronowitz journalist Myles Aronowitz.

The auction, which was held on Saturday, January 18, also managed to sell the draft with a value of more than 500 thousand US dollars or equivalent to Rp. 8.19 billion.

The sheet features three lyrics typed from the initial draft of the song, with Dylan's own handwritten note on the edge.

It is believed that the draft was typed at Al Aronowitz's home in March 1964, where Dylan spent the night writing and rewriting the song with Aronowitz's typing machine.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tambourine Man was released on a classic album in 1965, with the title " Bringing It All Back Home".

A month later, the song reached the top of the charts in the US and UK in the band's full electric cover version by The Byrds.
