Renault Makes Sales Up To 1.5 Million Units In 2024, Significant Growing Electrification Segment
Renault achieved impressive sales in 2024. This French automotive manufacturer has just reported its global sales of 1,577,351 units, an increase of up to 1.8 percent compared to the previous year.
Renault CEO Fabrice Cambolive said the score was driven by sales of the latest electrified vehicles in synergy with dealers' networks around the world.
"The quality of sales is at the heart of the policies fully owned by our dealer network, which I would like to thank you for the balance, between retail and business customers as well as hybrid and electric vehicles," Cambolive said on Renault's official website, Monday, January 20.
In Europe, the brand managed to sell as many as 1,009,000 units of vehicles or grew by 3.3 percent from the previous acquisition with the UK accounting for the largest volume of 21.4 percent and grew 2.8 percent.
Then, Spain became the second largest contributor to the Renault market with 10.8 percent and managed to increase by 8 percent, followed by Italy which contributed up to 6.7 percent by a decrease of 0.3 percent.
Beyond that result, Renault is not superior at home, namely France. The country only contributed 0.4 percent of its sales in Europe by a 2.5 percent decrease compared to the previous year.
The compact hatchback model, Clio, ranks second in the passenger car market, up two places from 2023 and grew by 7 percent.

Renault brand electrification segment also grew by 20 percent in Europe in 2024 which includes sales of pure and hybrid electric vehicles (EVs).
During 2024, the diamond logo brand reported an increase in hybrid sales by 30 percent or accounted for 40 percent of ICE vehicle sales in the European market. Not only that, Renault became the second best-selling brand for the hybrid market on the blue continent.
For pure EVs, Renault also reported an increase in sales of zero-emission vehicles by 9 percent in Europe during 2024.
Its newest electrification product, Renault 5 E-Tech, was recorded to have been ordered up to 10,000 units in France by the end of last year. Thus, this has the potential to increase the EV market of the brand in both Europe and globally.
