Ministry Of Imipas Checks Semarang Mayor's Check Status Mbak Ita
The Ministry of Immigration and Corrections (Imipas) stated that it would examine the demarcation status of the Mayor of Semarang, Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu, who is familiarly called Mbak Ita.
Minister Imipas Agus Andrianto revealed that his party will coordinate with law enforcement officials (APH) who apply for delinquency to ascertain whether the demarcation period is still active.
"So, we will contact APH who filed a demarcation to confirm its status. If the deconstruction period closes to running out, we will remind them to apply for an extension," Agus said after attending the 75th Immigration Bhakti Day event at Plaza Timur, Gelora Bung Karno complex, Jakarta, Sunday, January 19.
Agus added that Mbak Ita's demarcation period had ended. However, the Ministry of Imipas will give reminders to related agencies to apply for an extension if needed.
Mbak Ita was previously banned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on July 12, 2024 through Decree Number 888 of 2024 concerning the Prohibition of Traveling Abroad.
