Allegedly Violating Residence Permits, Denpasar Immigration Summons Bangladeshi Citizen Who Is The Driver Of Tourism
BALI - The Denpasar Immigration Office sent a summons to a foreign national (WNA) from Bangladesh on suspicion of violating the designation of residence permits by becoming a tourism driver.
"Currently, a summons has been made to the person concerned for further investigation," said Denpasar Immigration Chief Ridha Sah Putra in Denpasar, Bali, Antara, Sunday, January 19.
Ridha said that his party had not provided details on the planned examination of foreigners from Bangladesh. The summons for foreigners with the initials MMF, he said, after the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Officer (Inteldakim) Denpasar Immigration conducted an investigation to pocket the man's identity.
Based on Immigration data, MMF is known to hold a family union permit that is valid until February 8, 2025 with the sponsor of his wife who is an Indonesian citizen (WNI).
Based on the provisions, the family union with the C317 index is not allowed to work in Indonesia, and is only intended to join the family.
The duration of the residence permit is given by the family union holder for 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years with an extended residence permit.
Previously, a video of MMF circulating on social media Facebook was uploaded by a netizen on Friday (17/1). In the video, some residents question the whereabouts of MMF suspected of being working to pick up foreign guests.
MMF, who was wearing a pink T-shirt and wearing a hat, was caught by local residents picking up foreign tourists from Pakistan at the Port of Sanur Denpasar, Bali with the background of several suitcases in the trunk of his vehicle.
In the video, MMF can communicate Indonesian although it is not smooth and claims to be married to Indonesian citizens.
