Liga 1 2024/2025: Losing One Player, Persik Kediri Detained Draw PSS Sleman 0-0

JAKARTA - Persik Kediri had to settle for sharing points when they hosted PSS Sleman in the 19th week of Liga 1 2024/2025. Appearing at the Brawijaya Stadium on Sunday, January 19, the match ended with a score of 0-0.

Not only having to share points at home, Persik Kediri also had to lose one of his players, Yusuf Meiliana because he got a red card directly in the 87th minute.

Yusuf Meilana was sent off because he was considered to have committed a serious violation against Hokky Caraka. The referee checked VAR before issuing a red card.

Playing in front of his supporters, Persik actually excels in possession of the ball. The White Tiger Team recorded a ball process of up to 58 percent.

Unfortunately, the advantage in the game was not put to good use to spread threats. The proof is that Persik only fired 2 shots on target.

On the other hand, PSS Sleman, who played with 42 percent possession, was able to release 4 shots at the goal.

However, the two teams were both unable to take advantage of the opportunities they got to convert into goals.

This result made Persik fail to move up to the top four of the League 1 standings. Marcelo Rospide's team is still in sixth place with 30 points.
