Reported Missing, Basarnas Finds This Teenager In A Linglung State On Mount Seulawah Aceh Besar

The National SAR Agency (Basarnas) team found a teenage boy who was previously reported missing in Mount Seulawah, Lembah Seulawah District, Aceh Besar District.

Head of Banda Aceh Basarnas Ibnu Harris Al Hussain said victim M Zhafran Nadra, 17 years old, a resident of Gampong Blang Paseh, Sigli. Pidie Regency, Aceh Province.

"The victim was reported missing since Friday night, finally found safe. When found, the victim was in a dazed condition and exhausted," he said in Banda Aceh, Antara, Sunday, January 19.

Previously, said Ibnu Harris, the victim and his parents went to the garden in the Mount Seulawah area, Gampong Sukapeace Saree, Lembah Seulawah District, Aceh Besar District, on Friday, January 17.

However, until 18:30 WIB, the victim had not returned from the garden. Then, the family waited for the victim until 19:30 WIB, but the victim did not return, so the family reported to the Seulawah Valley Police, Aceh Besar Police.

Then, the Sector Police together with their families looked for victims until early morning. However, they were also not found until early Saturday. On Saturday (18/1), the Sector Police reported the incident to the Banda Aceh Basarnas Office.

"Based on the report, we deployed and dispatched a team to look for victims. The search was divided into two teams, the first team searched by combing the road up to the mountain which the victim estimated to pass.

Meanwhile, the second team searched and walked through the valley in the mountains that were around the garden. The location is thought to have been where the victim was reported missing. The search also uses drones to monitor from the air.

"The victim was finally found about 600 meters from the location where he was last seen. The victim was immediately evacuated to the search post in Saree, Aceh Besar District," he said.

In addition to Basarnas personnel, the search for victims also involved personnel from the Seulawah Valley Police, the Seulawah Valley Koramil, the Aceh Police Mobile Brigade, nature lovers, the community, and the families of the victims.

"With the discovery of the victim, the SAR operation is closed and the personnel involved in the search are returned to their respective units or agencies," said Ibnu Harris Al Hussain.
