Jeje Translator Shin Tae-yong Reveals Career Dilemma, Visa Expenditures Must Refuge To Malaysia
JAKARTA - Jeong Seok-seo or who is familiarly called Jeje, revealed about his career journey after Shin Tae-yong was fired from the Indonesian national team. Jeje, who is the coach's translator, admitted that he was facing a dilemma.
After PSSI completed Shin Tae-yong's contract as coach of the Indonesian national team on Monday, January 6, Jeje's career continued as a question mark. Now Jeje is even known to live in Malaysia because his residence documents in Indonesia have run out.
In an upload on his personal Instagram account, Jeje shared a moment of himself in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He explained that his move was not the original plan, but the consequence of PSSI's sudden decision to end Shin's term as coach of Garuda.
"The visa ran out because it was suddenly dismissed without preparation, so come here first," Jeje said on his Instagram account, @jeongseokseo, quoted on Sunday, January 19.
On another occasion during an interview with the pundit Valentino Simanjuntak alias Bung Valen, Jeje revealed that the sudden termination of PSSI's cooperation with Shin Tae-yong occurred, even without prior notification to the coaching staff or himself.
"The day before the announcement, we really didn't know it would happen (STY dismissal). Very sudden," Jeje said on the Jebreeet TV YouTube channel.

Although disappointed with the sudden dismissal of the South Korean coach, Jeje asked fans of the Indonesian national team to stop arguing and focus on supporting the new coach, Patrick Kluivert.
"It's better to move on, stop debating about Shin Tae-yong and start supporting the new coach of the Indonesian national team," he said.
The role of Jeje as an interpreter is not only a bridge of communication, but also an important witness to the journey of the Indonesian national team under STY.
Now, with the end of this era, Jeje must restart his career in a country of people. Despite leaving Indonesia, Jeje still hopes for the best for the Indonesian national team in the future.
