JCI Up 0.93 Percent In A Week, Daily Transactions Soared 34.77 Percent
JAKARTA The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) recorded an increase of 0.93 percent during the trading week from 13 January 17, 2025, reaching the level of 7,154.65 from the previous position at 7,088.86.
The Corporate Secretary of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad, said that most of the shares were positive during that period. IDX's market capitalization also increased by 0.56 percent, from Rp12,403 trillion in the previous week to Rp12,472 trillion.
During this week, the average daily transaction frequency experienced a significant increase of 34.77 percent, reaching a total of 1.39 million transactions compared to 1.04 million times in the previous week.
"In addition, the average daily transaction value increased by 33.50 percent to Rp11.64 trillion, from Rp8.72 trillion in the previous week," said Kautsar.
However, the average daily transaction volume decreased slightly by 0.86 percent, from 17.66 billion shares the previous week to 17.51 billion shares.

On Friday, January 17, foreign investors recorded a net buy of IDR 240.20 billion. However, cumulatively since early 2025, foreign investors are still posting net sales (net sell) of IDR 2.69 trillion.
Overall, exchange trading recorded a positive trend, supported by increased transaction activity and daily trading value.
