President Prabowo Subianto Will Officially Be Headquartered At IKN On August 17, 2028

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto will officially have an office in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN) on August 17, 2028. This was revealed by the Head of the IKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono.

We have prepared Sarana and infrastructure at IKN. President Prabowo has given directions to carry out executive, legislative, and judicial activities at IKN in August 2028. Starting January 2025, we will map out locations to start road construction," Basuki said as quoted from his statement, Saturday, January 19.

Most recently, the IKN Authority accelerated the investment process of the banking sector to support development and hold meetings with the Indonesian banking industry, such as Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Bank Mandiri, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Bankaltimtara, Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN), and Bank Central Asia (BCA).

"This meeting aims to accelerate the construction of banking service offices that will operate in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN," said Basuki.

The development of banking services in the State Capital (IKN) has been accelerated as a priority step to complement the needs of the ecosystem for people who will migrate to the archipelago.

The banking service office is targeted to start operating in the first quarter of 2026 to support fast and effective financial services according to the needs of the population at IKN.

This progress discussion is expected to accelerate the realization of investment in the banking sector as well as create an inclusive economic ecosystem to support the development of modern oriented IKN.
