Tjahjo Kumolo Is Sad, Every Month He Must Fire Dozens Of Civil Servants Due To Radicalism To Corruption
JAKARTA - The Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) Tjahjo Kumolo admitted that he had a heavy heart to fire dozens of state civil servants (ASN).
This is because they are proven to have violated statutory provisions because they are exposed to radicalism, terrorism, using illegal drugs, and corruption.
"I am sad that almost every month in Bapeg meetings we generally have to decide 30-40 people who have to make decisions to be fired, disabled, to be demoted for violating matters related to radicalism, terrorism, drugs, areas prone to corruption, "said Tjahjo in a virtual discussion, Sunday, April 18.
In fact, said Tjahjo, the government has made various efforts to prevent corruption with a circular letter from the Ministry of National Education and RB, the State Civil Service Agency, to coordinate with the Corruption Eradication Commission.
Therefore, in the future KemenPAN-RB will increase the professionalism of ASN. "Starting from the control of the ASN wealth report every year, handling conflicts of interest, whistle blowing system, and managing public complaints through SP4N reports that have been integrated with many government agencies," he explained.
Regarding the potential for exposure to radicalism, KemenPAN-RB already has data on exposed civil servants. This has been traced from social media to financial transactions through PPATK.
"This (sanction) is merciless. We already have data on social media, we will hold it both through PPATK and so on. I think we will examine this together," he said.
