Big Demand, The Large Potential Of Yacht Entrepreneurs In Bali Boosts Indonesia's Maritime Tourism Potential

JAKARTA - Entrepreneurs of luxury tourist boats (yachts) based in Denpasar, Bali, are boosting the potential for Indonesian marine tourism due to large demand from high-end tourists.

"We provide services with high quality and standards from A to Z," said Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Yacht Sourcing Boum Senous in Denpasar, Bali, Saturday.

The company engaged in sales, rental, and cruise ship management has been present in Bali since 2016 and starting this year it is expanding services with six fleets of luxury launch ships.

The six new tourist boats were parked using a mooring facility located at Marina, Benoa Harbor, which is a special yacht area.

Not only serving the needs of tourists to the Nusa Penida Island cluster and other destinations in Bali, the Island of the Gods is also an entry point for marine cruising, introducing more extensive exotic destinations, especially eastern Indonesia such as Gili in West Nusa Tenggara, Komodo Island in Labuan Bajo, Banda Island to Raja Ampat.

To support quality tourists, his party is working with the Black Stone Yacht Club (BSYC) restaurant in front of the luxury tourist boat mooring facility to collaborate with five-star hotels and helicopter providers in Benoa, Bali.

"With this yacht fleet, it will increase competitiveness, seize the premium tourist market share," said BSYC CEO Purwo Handoko as reported by ANTARA.

He hopes that the partnership will increase Indonesia's maritime tourism sector, including through charter services, mooring facilities for luxury launch ships to yacht exhibitions and high-end maritime lifestyles.

Purwo hopes that the development of marine infrastructure by the government in the Benoa Port area in the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH) project can accommodate the needs of luxury marine tourism.

"Currently in process, the marina will be widened so that more yachts will come and our plans can expand outside Bali such as Lombok, Raja Ampat or Labuan Bajo," he added.
