Barcelona Confirms Returning To Camp Nou Will Not Happen Before May 2025
JAKARTA - Barcelona have confirmed that they will not return to Camp Nou before May 2025 as the club's stadium renovation work continues.
This means that they have the potential to finish this season at the Olimpic Lluis Companys Stadium, where they have played since the Camp Nou reshuffle began in the summer of 2023.
Barcelona ended the La Liga campaign with matches against Real Madrid (11 May 2025) and Villarreal (18 May 2025).
The announcement on Friday, January 17, 2025, that they will continue playing at the Olimpic Lluis Companys until at least 23 April 2025, as they host Mallorca, means they are committed to playing all the remaining Champions League games there.
UEFA regulations allow stadium changes after the group stage, but teams are not allowed to use multiple places during the knockout stages of the system.

Barcelona initially hoped to return to play at Camp Nou in November 2024, coinciding with the club's 125th anniversary, as part of a gradual return.
The Catalan club revealed that in November 2024 there was a delay until at least January 2025. However, in December 2024, they said that the club was working internally on the possibility that they would not return to Camp Nou until next season.
Advances in field rebuilding and modernization are slow as more work is needed at the second level than originally planned.
Meanwhile, the field will take up to three months to be installed properly to ensure it is at the level required to host elite football. The process will begin in February 2025.
Ketika Barcelona akhirnya kembali ke Camp Nou, jumlah kehadiran awalnya akan terbatasi sekitar 60.000 karena pekerjaan terus berlanjut.
The stadium is expected to be fully completed in the summer of 2026, with capacity increased to around 105,000, the highest capacity in Europe.
