Broken Walls Of Residents' Houses, Landslides In Muara Enim, South Sumatra
The landslide disaster damaged a residential unit in Lingga Village, Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra and the walls of the house were broken and no longer suitable to be occupied.
Reporting from ANTARA, the Head of BPBD Muara Enim, Abdurruzieq Putra in Muara Enim, Saturday, said that the high rainfall that occurred on Thursday (16/1/2025) at around 16.00 WIB caused landslides to almost hoard residents' houses in local villages.
Although there were no casualties, natural disasters damaged the walls of Zul Agus' house, a resident of Hamlet IV, Lingga Village, Lawang Kidul District.
The walls of the residents' houses collapsed due to landslides from the hills so that they were no longer suitable to be occupied.

"Alhamdulillah, there were no casualties, but the walls of residents' houses were heavily damaged by landslides," he said.
Regarding this incident, his party has dispatched personnel to the location of the natural disaster to conduct a rapid assessment and collect data on victims of landslides.
BPBD Muara Enim deployed heavy equipment to clean up landslide material that hit residents' houses so that it was suitable to be occupied again with their families.
"The evacuation process has been completed and residents are gradually visiting the house which was destroyed by a landslide," he said.
On this occasion, personnel in the field again reminded the public to remain vigilant against further landslides so as not to cause casualties.
"Longsor can occur at any time, especially based on early warning from the BMKG, high rainfall will still occur for the next few days so we must be aware of it together," he said.
