Disperindag Batam Collaborates With Customs And Excise To Smooth Distribution Of Basic Materials
The Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) of Batam City, Riau Islands, collaborated with a number of parties such as distributor associations and the Customs Office in seeking the smooth distribution of basic commodities in the city.
Head of Batam City Disperindag Gustian Riau in Batam, Saturday, said coordination had been carried out with the Batam City Distributor Association and the Batam Customs Office.
He asked the Customs and Excise regarding the delivery of basic necessities from producing areas to Batam City to be given convenience and get priority.
"We ask for easy delivery of goods here (Batam). We hope that there will be priority services from Customs and Excise for the basic needs of this community," said Gustian.
He conveyed that through a follow-up to Customs and Excise, it is hoped that in the future there will be no more obstacles related to regulations.

"If this basic ingredient is the main need of the community. If there is a regulatory policy from BC, it will minimize the delay in distribution to the market," he said.
In addition, his party also asked for tax relaxation for the delivery of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Batam City to other areas in Indonesia, considering that Batam City as a free area (FTZ) has its own rules regarding goods that will leave Batam.
"Here, we also convey requests for relaxation or reduction of special delivery tax for MSME actors who will send goods out of Batam, not exports," said Gustian.
Meanwhile, Head of Industry and Energy and Mineral Resources, Batam City Industry and Trade Office Januar Arka explained that in accordance with customs regulations for business actors who will send goods from Batam will be subject to Income Tax (PPh), Import Duty and Value Added Tax (VAT).
"So we ask for special relief for IKM/MSMEs to Customs and Excise, only VAT is subject to it," said Januar.
