Samsung Releases Security Patch For Galaxy Phones, Here's A List Of Devices

JAKARTA Samsung will launch its latest security update for January. The first update in 2025 will be released to a number of Galaxy devices in the near future.

Monthly security patches are usually only released to strengthen device protection. That way, not many new features can be found in this update. In fact, some security patches don't include any features.

Samsung's focus on this month's update is problem fixes or bugs and security upgrades. On the security update page, Samsung details 30 fixes for the January patch. These improvements include five critical issues.

A device that will definitely receive this update is the Galaxy S24 series and other flagship models. To find out if your device will get a security patch in January, here's a list of devices that will receive updates.

The list of devices above has already received an update patch in several regions and Samsung will expand its updates in the coming weeks. It is not yet known whether Samsung's entry-level phones will also get a security patch in January.

Keep in mind the availability of these updates varies, depending on the region, operator, and others. If your Galaxy device hasn't received an update, you'll need to wait a while.
