Commander Of Lantamal III Jakarta Said Prabowo Ordered To Dismantle 30 Kilometer Sea Pagar
JAKARTA - Commander of the Jakarta Navy Main Base (Lantamal) III Brigadier General TNI Marines Harry Indianto revealed that President Prabowo Subianto directly ordered the demolition of the 30.16 kilometers (KM) of the sea fence. This step was taken so that fishermen could return to look for fish.
"The president's direct order through the Chief of Naval Staff is the main thing, which I caught opening access, especially for fishermen to go in and out for activities," Harry told reporters at the Tanjung Pasir Posal Headquarters, Tangerang Regency, Banten, Saturday, January 18.
Harry said that the public had complained about this unclear sea fence some time ago. Checks and coordination with village officials and other related parties have also been carried out.
Until now, continued Harry, no party has claimed to have installed the fence. However, demolition is still carried out by targeting 2 KM first and will be continued completely.
"It's easier for us to do it if no one admits it. Instead of someone admitting it, we need further coordination," he said.
As previously reported, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has sealed the 30.16 km long sea fencing location on the coast of Tangerang Regency. They are still investigating the person in charge of installing the fence.
The Director General of Marine and Fishery Resources Supervision (PSDKP) of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Pung Nugroho Saksono said his party welcomed the community's plan to remove the sea fence in the sea waters of Tangerang Regency early next week.
The Ombudsman is also investigating allegations of maladministration in sea fencing, with his party also saying there was a temporary calculation of the loss of IDR 9 billion fishermen.
