Honda Civic Rajai Sales Of Manual Transmission Cars In The US During 2024

JAKARTA - The current automotive industry is being decorated by vehicle lines with automatic transmission, which focuses more on practicality and ease of travel. However, this does not just leave the car on manual transmission.

The choice with these three pedals is still sought after and in demand by today's car users. What's more, it is proven that several cars with manual transmission are still selling well in the United States (US) market.

Quoted from Motor1, Friday, January 17, the best-selling manual transmission car in this market is Honda Civic. Of the total sales of last year's 242,005 units, 17,424 units or 7.2 percent of them were selected from this conventional transmission.

Of course, this achievement is relatively impressive because Honda has updated Civic for the US market last year. Now, this model is offered manual transmission on Si and Type R types.

Meanwhile, second place fell to Subaru WRX which earned a sales figure of 16.115 units or 86.7 percent of the overall achievement of this model. This proves that Subaru subscribers still need manual transmission even though automatic options have been provided.

Ranking third, there are GTI and R Golf models that received combined sales of 6,721 units in Uncle Sam's country. Complementing the top five, there are two Toyota models, namely GR86 with 6,056 units and Tacoma with 5,784 units.

Furthermore, Mazda MX-5 or often called Miata ranks sixth with a total of 5,762 units or manual transmissions contributing 70 percent of the total sales of the roadster.

Other Toyota models such as the Glolla GR are in seventh place as the best-selling manual car in the US with 5,414 units, followed by Acura Integra with 4,831 units, Volkswagen Jetta with 4,310 units, and Subaru BRZ with 2,602 units.
