Police Name 5 Suspects In The GRIB Vs Pemuda Pancasila Ormas Clashe Case In Bandung
The West Java Regional Police have named five suspects in the case of clashes between community organizations that occurred on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Pancasila Youth headquarters on Jalan BKR, Bandung City.
The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police, Kombes Jules Abraham Abast, said that the incident began with the GRIB mass organization who visited the Pancasila Youth headquarters by carrying out destruction and persecution.
"There has been an attempt to arrest the Bandung Police, namely the arrests were made of five people who were later named as suspects, namely FJ, ZM, OP, GS, and FAS," Jules said in Bandung, Friday.
Jules explained that for this incident, four members of the Pemuda Pancasila mass organization were injured by being hit by a sharp weapon and one person suffered bruises.
In addition, several four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles were also damaged, including the broken office glass as a result of the attack.
He said the arrests of the five suspects were made after the police examined a number of witnesses, secured evidence and saw surveillance camera footage (CCTV).
"There have been several witnesses examined, including the victim's witness from the PP mass organization. In addition, evidence of CCTV footage, one bamboo stick, one block of cement, iron rod, two machete sarongs were secured, then a wooden branch," he said.
Jules added that the police are still investigating the motives behind the clashes between the mass organizations and that a number of people involved are still being questioned.
"We will explore the roles of each, whether we only attend or participate in committing a criminal act," he said.

For their actions, the suspects are subject to Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of seven years in prison.
