The Perpetrator Who Stabbed His Neighbor Until He Was Seriously Injured In West Aceh Was Finally Arrested By The Police
ACEH - West Aceh Police personnel arrested TH (54), a resident of Pante Ceureumen Village, a local district. TH was involved in a stabbing by his neighbor, Syafrudin (43) until he was seriously injured last Tuesday.
"Currently, we have detained the suspect for further investigation," said West Aceh Police Chief AKBP Andi Kirana to reporters in West Aceh, quoted from Antara, Friday, January 17.
Previously, the suspect TH had fled into the forest after slashing Syafrudin, who was a neighbor, using a machete until the victim was seriously injured in the neck.
The suspect was arrested at his biological brother's house in Kaway XVI District, West Aceh Regency.
The police chief explained that the stabbing occurred when victim Syafruddin (43), a resident of Musalla Gampong Pante Cermin Hamlet, Pante Ceuremen District, West Aceh Regency, went to his land not far from his house, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 10.00 WIB.
Arriving at the location, the victim saw the suspect TH and his wife cleaning the land using a sharp machete or machete.
The victim then informed the suspect TH that the land being cleaned belonged to him because the location of the cleared land had crossed the boundary of the land.
However, suspect TH denied this until then there was an argument between the two.
During the debate, the suspect TH approached the victim while swinging a machete at the victim's neck so that the victim resulted in injuries.
Victim Syafruddin was then rushed to the Cut Nyak Dhien Meulaboh Regional General Hospital (RSUD), West Aceh Regency, for treatment.
"The victim suffered serious injuries to the neck, width in the wound he got to the throat and had to get 28 stitches," said Andi Kirana.
"Currently, the suspect has been detained at the West Aceh Police Headquarters for further investigation," he said.
