West Ham And Iron Maiden Collaboration Is Expected To Bring Good Luck: Qualify For The Champions League
JAKARTA - Premier League club, West Ham United have teamed up with heavy metal band Iron Maiden for the latest away uniforms and training. Bassist Steve Harris hopes that this collaboration will bring luck to his favorite club to penetrate the Champions League next season.
Stepping back a little to 2019, West Ham have collaborated with the heavy metal legend on the 'Die With Your Boots On' home jersey series. Now, the two are collaborating again on a new away jersey, training jacket and other training suits.
"With thousands of home kits sold, there is a strong desire from West Ham & Steve (Harris, Iron Maiden's bassist and leader) to expand the reach for fans around the world to enjoy in both football and music," a statement about the collaboration read, reported by NME.
Harris has been a West Ham fan since 1965 and his bass guitar is affixed with the club's iconic logo sticker.
"It's been amazing to see the number of Iron Maiden & West Ham fans buying the first home jersey," Harris spoke of the collaboration.
“With West Ham's accomplishments so well in the Premier League at this time, it feels like the right time to take off this away shirt.
"I am very excited to continue the Maiden / West Ham partnership ... who knows, it might bring us luck to earn a place in the Champions League, you never know!"

Meanwhile, Tracey Stratton, Licensing Manager at West Ham added: “We've had a phenomenal response to our first jersey collaboration with Iron Maiden, selling orders over and over. The reaction of the fans was overwhelming with the huge involvement on social media.
